Artist Bravo Le Roux passes away

Mzansi is reeling from the passing of rapper and entertainer Sinesipho Peter, who was better known as Bravo Le Roux.

His passing was confirmed in a heartfelt statement issued by his family on his social media pages.

“It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of Bravo Le Roux (Sinesipho Peter), a beloved South African artist whose talent, voice and spirit touched countless lives across the world,” read the statement.

His family described him as a devoted father, a loving son, a brother, a cousin and a dear friend.

“Bravo Le Roux was a gifted creator, a proud ambassador of his community and an inspiration to emerging artists. His music resonated with authenticity, passion and courage – leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of fans and peers alike,” they added.

The family has further asked that they be granted privacy and space to grieve together with his friends and loved ones during this difficult time.
”We also ask that fans and the public remember him for his contributions, his artistry and the joy he brought to many,” read the statement.

Bravo Le Roux, who was fondly known as ‘Ta Bravo’ by many, once unleashed a sound that went viral on TikTok.

This fan-favourite artist first rose to fame in 2019, and he made a name for himself in 2023 with the release of his debut album Igazi, Inyembezi Nombilo. 

Instagram users weighed in:

Musician Priddy Ugly said: “I’m lost for words, sincere condolences to the family and loved ones. Rest In Power.”

Another Instagram user said: “Gone too soon. One of a kind, with a heart that left a mark on everyone who knew him. Keeping his daughter and wife close in our thoughts and prayers. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”

While another added: “Rest easy my brother. Thank you for everything you did.”
