Argentina and Croatia have announced their starting line-up for this evening’s first 2022 FIFA World Cup semi-final at Lusail Iconic Stadium.
It is the second World Cup semi-final in succession for Zlatko Dalic’s side, who are – similar – to Morocco still unbeaten in Qatar.
Croatia have proved that that reaching the last four in Russia 2018 wasn’t a fluke as they have done it once again.
After starting a tournament with two draws and a huge 4-1 win over Canada in the group stages, Croatia went on to defeat Japan and tournament favourites Brazil in the last 16 and quarter-final on penalties.

Meanwhile, Argentina started the tournament with a 2-1 loss against Saudi Arabia and but haven’t looked back since.
They quickly turned things around, defeating Mexico and Poland to make it into the knockout stages. The Copa America champions then eliminated Australia in the last 16 and were involved in the game that produced 18 yellows cards against Netherlands, beating them on penalties.
Two experienced players that will definitely have an impact in this game have a little history tonight, Luka Modric (37) made his Croatia debut in a friendly game against Argentina and on the same day, Lionel Messi (35) scored his first Argentina goal that was in 2006.
Here is how they line up:
Argentina XI: Emiliano Martínez; Molina, Romero, Otamendi, Taglafico; De Paul, Enzo Fernández, Paredes, Mac Allister; Lionel Messi and Julián Álvarez
Croatia XI: Livakovic; Juranovic, Lovren, Gvardiol, Sosa; Modric, Brozovic, Kovacic; Pasalic, Kramaric, Perisic.
