Unathi Nkayi responded to a popular blogger who made body-shaming comments about her. She shared a video on her Instagram page addressing the remarks about her stomach.

“I wasn’t going to do a video about this because I dislike giving weak men attention. But I realised it is Mother’s Day on Sunday, and a lot of mothers get body-shamed for the fact that we can create life in our tummies, bring up life from our tummies, and give life from our tummies.”

“And ladies, I want you to know it is only weak men who can body-shame us for being the miracles we are, and also body-shame us for something they are physically incapable of being and doing,” she said.

In her mentions her followers were enraged by the comments made by the blogger.

“He definitely does not deserve your time and energy sis. Nonetheless, well said and poignantly so. We give thanks to God for you — our queens  — for the miracle of allowing us to descend into this realm through your precious temples. We salute you,” said one follower.

Opening up about her weight loss journey almost three years ago, she shared with her followers how she remained motivated.

“I have so many conversations with many of you beautiful women. The underlying theme I frequently get while speaking to some of you is that you feel you can’t reach your goal or you don’t deserve it.

“How will you know if you don’t at least try? You often ask: ‘How do you do it?’ I literally had to fetch my life,” captioned Unathi.
