Amid Open Mic Feud, Godrich Gardee Extends Helping Hand to Makhadzi

Godrich Gardee, who previously served as the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) secretary-general and is now a practising lawyer, has extended an offer to assist superstar Makhadzi in her ongoing dispute with Open Mic Productions. Makhadzi recently announced her departure from the label in order to pursue other business opportunities. However, Open Mic Productions has disputed her claims, stating that Makhadzi had signed an auto-renewable contract with the company to Sunday World. As the feud between Makhadzi and Open Mic Productions continues to make headlines and become a topic of discussion, Gardee has stepped forward to offer his assistance.

Godrich Gardee has offered to help Makhadzi in her battle with Open Mic Productions.

In a tweet directed at Makhadzi, Gardee wrote: “Hi Makhadzi, drop a DM for assistance in case you do not have any. We are here to fight your battles!” Gardee opened his own law firm shortly after being admitted as a high court attorney in 2021.

During a celebration lunch at the time, EFF leader Julius Malema encouraged Gardee to use his legal expertise to fight against injustice. Malema stated that Gardee should work to release students who have been arrested for fighting for free education and that as an activist and commissar, it is his responsibility to fight against injustice without expecting any reward.

Makhadzi’s new management is helping her a lot

Makhadzi’s new management team has recently announced that they are exploring legal options in order to resolve the dispute with Open Mic Productions. They stated that they received the contract signed by Makhadzi and are presenting it to their lawyers to determine the best course of action.

“This is becoming a legal matter so we are going to meet our lawyers to give us the way forward. We received the contract which she signed, so we are presenting it to our lawyers so we can be advised what to do next.”
