Miguel Cardosso’s Mamelodi Sundowns are expecting to grab three points in Durban to hit 38 points, level with log leaders Orlando Pirates.

Added pressure is facing Kabo Yellow after last Saturday’s shock 2-0 loss to TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup last 16, while tonight’s hosts, AmaZulu, edged Richards Bay 1-0 in the same competition.

EXPECT A TRUE CONTEST

AmaZulu currently occupy fifth place with 30 points after a strong resurgence in early 2026. Usuthu have surged up the standings by winning five of their last seven matches, putting themselves firmly in the race for a top-three finish and a return to continental football. Sundowns opened the title race after last week’s narrow 2-1 win over the log-leading Orlando Pirates.

While this is the first battle of the season against each other, last season was a clean sweep for Sundowns with two 2-0 victories home and away.
