AmaZulu & Pirates Starting XIs Announced

AmaZulu FC and Orlando Pirates have announced their starting line-ups for this afternoon’s DStv Premiership clash at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

After they were confirmed to have saved their status recently, Usuthu are coming to this last match of the season with not much to play for, as they can’t finish inside the top eight.

However, caretaker coach Ayanda Dlamini is fighting to get a permanent contract, but his side only picked up one win in five games since he replaced Romain Folz (two draws and two defeats).

Meanwhile, the Buccaneers are unbeaten in 11 games in all competitions and are still chasing second to secure qualification for next season’s CAF Champions League.

After winning the MTN8 and qualifying for the Nedbank Cup final, second place would make it a very impressive debut campaign by Jose Riveiro.

They are currently level on 51 points with SuperSport United, but should they win against AmaZulu they’d all but secure their return to CAF Champions League football next season.

In the last two games, Pirates dropped four massive points against Royal AM and Sekhukhune United after playing two 1-1 draws, but the Sea Robbers have a very good head-to-head record vs Usuthu, going an impressive 17 games unbeaten.

Here is how they line up:

AmaZulu XI: February, Gumede, Mabiliso, Mphahlele, Mobara, Malepe, Brooks, Maluleka, Ntuli, Ekstein, Zuma

Subs: Mothwa, Sikhakhane, Khumalo, Buchanan, Bwalya, Shange, Kunene, Ndlovu, Majoro

Pirates XI: Chaine, Sibisi, Mthethwa, Mako, Monyane, Makhaula, Ndlondlo, Ratomo, Saleng, Dzvukamanja, Erasmus

Subs: Mpontshane, Maela, Timm, Dlamini, Motshwari, Hotto, Marou, Eva Nga, Lorch
