AmaZulu Deal For Striker Called Off

Published

on

AmaZulu’s proposed move for Guinea international striker Yakhouba Barry has been called off at the final minute.

Usuthu had agreed terms with the towering Horoya striker, who arrived in Durban last week for his medical.

Insiders reveal the player arrived heavily strapped on his knee and he then later failed his medical with the club.

It’s now been suggested that Usuthu are not keen on signing a player unavailable, given his arrival would have meant boosting their options in the absence of Sede Dion.

Meanwhile, Niger forward Victorien Adebayor has finally received his South African visa and paperwork and his unveiling is likely to take place this week upon his arrival.

Vincent Oburu, the Kenya international winger from ZESCO United is now on assessment and sources indicate he’s impressed the technical team.

However, any potential move will be determined by the asking fee of the Zambian giants, and his upcoming medical tests.

This story was first published in the rumours section of this week’s iDiski Times newspaper, edition 120.
