Amapiano star Zanda Zakuza’s academic qualifications revealed

Zanda Zakuza is a music grandmaster known for delivering spectacular vocals that many individuals cherish and can identify with. Worldwide notoriety discovered its way to her laps after she was featured on the famous Skeleton Movie, a song owned by Master KG. Skeleton move was a moment hit all over Africa, stretching out to the shores of Europe and North America. The song garnered over 32 million streams on YouTube placing Zanda Zakuza in the spotlight. However, besides being an outstanding singer and performer, Zanda is highly educated with a degree to show for it. The singer understood the concept of being successful using her talent glorified with academic qualifications.

A look at Zanda Zakuza’s academic qualifications and the institutions she attended

Energetic Zanda Zakuza was born on the 8th of August 1993 in Umlazi Durban, KwaZulu Natal. She was raised by a single mother who worked hard to ensure that Zanda had the best education. There are no records of Zanda’s siblings, but she revealed that she grew up with male cousins becoming a tomboy during her interview with Drum Magazine.
Zanda matriculated at Pinetown Girls High and passed her matric with good grades that qualified her to enrol for tertiary education. She enrolled at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where she studied music specializing in Jazz. During her second year of pursuing a music degree, she dropped out of school and released her first single, ‘loving you‘, which did not go well as she expected. She admitted that she spent a while without a job struggling to make ends meet.

The star then decided to return to school to secure a professional qualification. Zanda’s mother wanted her daughter to secure a professional qualification before she made strides in the entertainment industry. To be a trophy daughter, Zanda returned to school and graduated with a degree in Business Management and Human Resources.

Zanda Zakuza on dominating the year 2020

In 2020 Zanda Zakuza, famously known as Dragon, made headlines after releasing her second album Khaya Lam which took Mzansi by storm. Her album became an international sensation, and everyone was singing her name. The album was produced by the dangerous trio of Master KG, Bongo Beats and Mr Brown. Some of the best tracks from the album were:

  • I believe ft Mr Brown
  • Life goes on ft Bongo
  • Molo ft Mr Brown

Zanda’s album was a hit resulting in her being nominated at the KZN Entertainment Awards for the Best Female Artist award.

After dropping her dangerous album, she released other singles giving her more noteworthy acknowledgement in the global music space and assisting her thump with offing more outstanding honours.
