If the Boks don’t get a massive win over Portugal in their test match in Bloemfontein tomorrow, something’s wrong.

Although this is a historic first meeting between the two nations, the Boks have little on the line, but for almost all the players, there is a lot at stake.

Almost every position on the field is up for grabs, whether it is legends like Lukhanyo Am and Makazole Mapimpi or any of the eight new recruits like Phepsi Buthelezi and Johan Grobbelaar.

It is also the first time in rugby history that a woman referee will handle an international match. But don’t expect anything other than perfect refereeing from Hollie Davidson.

South Africa vs Portugal on Saturday at 5pm, live on DStv channel 201.

➤ Formula 1 fans have had the unfamiliar experience of seeing Max Verstappen not win either of the last two races.

Even more surprising is that Mercedes won both of those races, with George Russell winning in Austria and Lewis Hamilton winning in England.

Verstappen still leads the driver championship, but he will be looking to get back to winning ways when the drivers take to the Hungarian Grand Prix this weekend.

Red Bull and Verstappen have won the previous two races in Hungary and hope to fend off McLaren and Ferrari to make it three in a row when the lights go out on Sunday afternoon.

The race will be live from 3pm on DStv channel 215.

➤ If you’re in the mood for some Test cricket action, England is currently leading West Indies 1-0 and could win the series in the second test over the weekend.

The action continues from 11am on Saturday at Trent Bridge Stadium, with England setting themselves up for a victory on Thursday and Friday.

The action will be live on DStv channel 212.
