Controversial Zamalek president Mortata Mansour has made a huge claim about Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane.
Mansour, who is known for his controversial moves and statements, is putting a lot of pressure on current coach Patrice Carteron, who guided to White Knights to the Egyptian Premier League title last season.
However, the defending champions have already collected two defeats in their first nine league games of the new campaign and dropped into third place, while they started their CAF Champions League group with two draws.
As a consequence, Mansour has started to criticise his own coach and now claimed that he could’ve lure South African coach Mosimane to his club.
“If I wanted to bring Mosimane to Zamalek I could have done it, but I will not do that out of respect for Al Ahly fans,” Mortada said, as per Kingfut.
“A number of Al Ahly players wanted to join Zamalek but I refused, and when I signed Abdallah El-Said, his contract with Al Ahly was about to expire.”
Zamalek are again in action on Saturday when they will face Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League.
