Bafana Bafana winger Percy Tau has suffered a new injury setback after scoring in back-to-back Egyptian Premier League games.
The 28-year-old made his return to the Al Ahly starting XI on 7 December and immediately scored in their 2-0 win over El Mahalla.
He continued his impressive return on Monday, when he netted the opener against El Ittihad.
However, Tau picked up a new injury late in the game when he attempted to round the goalkeeper in a one-on-one, but seemingly pulled his hamstring.

The sad news were confirmed by Al Ahly’s medical team, who stated the South African winger has another hamstring injury but it is yet to be seen for how long he’ll be sidelined for.
“Percy Tau had undergone an ultrasound scan which revealed that he had a hamstring injury,” Al Ahly head of medical staff, Ahmed Abou-Abla said, as per Kingfut.
“He will undergo further investigations that will decide the severity of his injury, and how long he will be sidelined for.”
