Al Ahly will announce Pitso Mosimane’s new contract before he returns to South Africa to face Mamelodi Sundowns, according to Ahmed Shobier.
The club legend-turned pundit always seems to have some insight information about the ongoing at the Club of the Century.
Mosimane and Al Ahly have been locked in contract talks for quite some time now and even though latest indications from camps were that the negotiations are going well, there has been no official announcement yet.
However, Shobier has now insisted that the Egyptian giants will announce Mosimane’s new deal before the reverse fixture against Mamelodi Sundowns on 11 March.
“Al Ahly officials told Mosimane that they fully trust him and the new contract process should be over before South Africa Trip,” Shobeir said as per Kingfut.
“Mosimane was happy about it and the new contract will be signed soon.”
‘Jingles’ current deal with Al Ahly runs out by the end of the season, but the South African coach has continuously stated that he would like to stay with the club.
His management team, MT Sports also recently confirmed that terms have been agreed and it’s now only for Al Ahly to announce the new deal.
If Shobier is right, they should do so in the next seven days before Mosimane’s second homecoming after the ugly scenes at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium in Atteridgville last year.
