Pitso Mosimane has announced his starting XI to face Al Merrikh in a must-win clash in the CAF Champions League.
The defending champions enter the game on the back of a historic double defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns and are under pressure to secure two positive results in their final two Group A games.
Merrikh, Al Ahly as well as Al Hilal Omdurman all sit on four points after four matches, while Sundowns lead the log with 10 points.
The fixture is set to take place at the Cairo Stadium at 18:00 on Friday after CAF judged Merrikh’s home ground not eligible to host this season’s CAFCL games.
Mosimane’s men beat Merrikh 3-2 in the reverse fixture, making it three unbeaten games against tonight’s opponents after securing a 3-0 win and a 2-2 draw during last year’s CAFCL group stage campaign.
South African winger Percy Tau made the line-up, putting unconfirmed reports to bed that the Bafana Bafana International had picked up an injury.
