AI ages five musicians who died young

Posted on March 28, 2026

AI keeps surprising us with how realistic it can be. This time, it is bringing back some musicians who died young, aging them to what they would look like now.

Singer Aaliyah, rapper Tupac Shakur, rapper Notorious B.I.G, TLC rapper Left Eye, and singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez are featured in this video. Each has an animated image of themselves at the age they died, and then what is assumed would be their face now.

The aged images are pretty spot on, except for Left Eye, who only slightly resembles the real person in both AI versions.

It is hard to believe that over 20 years have lapsed since the deaths of these young and talented stars. But when you look at the lives and careers of the people they came up with, one does wonder where and how they would be, too.

Each died at the peak of their careers, with all but one not having married or had children yet.

Notorious B.I.G was the only family man in the group, having been married to singer Faith Evans when he died. They had one son together, Christopher “C.J.” Wallace Jr., who was born about six months before his father died in March 1997.

Aaliyah, along with eight other people, died when her aircraft crashed on her way back from filming the video of her song Rock the Boat.

Tupac and Notorious B.I.G both succumbed to gun violence, and both cases have not been solved. Although former gang leader Duane “Keffe D” Davis was charged with Tupac’s murder, his trial is still pending.

Left Eye, whose real name is Lisa Lopes, died in a car crash in Honduras, while her fan club president, Yolanda Saldívar, shot Selena after she was confronted for embezzling Selena’s money.
