Al Ahly are not qualified for the final despite a 3-0 first-leg advantage over Esperance in their CAF Champions League semi-final, warns head coach Marcel Koller.

The Swiss tactician is potentially 90 minutes away from securing a place in the final, which would be their sixth in seven seasons after they raced to a 3-0 win in Rades, thanks to a brace by Percy Tau and a third by Kahraba.

Koller believes Taraji are capable of storming to a comeback, as we’ve seen in years gone by in the European game.

“We are so happy to win 3-0 away from home. However, that doesn’t mean we have already qualified to the final,” Koller said, as per KingFut.

“Nothing is decided yet. We saw this when Liverpool made a comeback against FC Barcelona by scoring four goals.

“Also, Juventus managed to net three times away from home against Real Madrid.”

With the Red Devils fighting for thre Egyptian Premier League title too, he called for caution ahead of the fixture at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday evening.

“We should not imagine that things have been decided,” he added.

“We should not underestimate Esperance in the second leg and be fully concentrated because everything is possible in football.”

The winner of the tie will face either Wydad Athletic Club or Mamelodi Sundowns in the final over two legs.
