Al Ahli Tripoli coach Fathi Al Jabal says the club lost the game in the first leg taking the blame to him and his team after being eliminated by Orlando Pirates in CAF Confederation Cup semifinal encounter.

The Buccaneers won 2-0 in the reverse fixture away and the Libyan giants won 1-0 at Orlando Stadium, however it wasn’t enough to see them progress to the final of the competition.

“It’s our mistake, even the first game it’s our mistake. We didn’t prepare very well in the day, in the second half players didn’t concentrate. We lost the match in the first game in Libya, but we had a good game. Congratulations to Orlando Pirates,” said Al Jabal.

“We were not concentrated in the game, that was a restriction for this game. All players tried their best, I hope that we scored in the first half. We had a lot of opportunities to score, but it didn’t happen.”

Pirates will take on Moroccan RS Berkane FC in the final on 20 May at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Nigeria.
