Smoke & Mirrors star Lusanda Mbane has shared a moving tribute to her mother, Mama Annette Lulama Sangoni, following her recent passing.

Mama Sangoni died peacefully on Thursday, 18 December, at the age of 81, following a long battle with dementia.

The actress, who had kept fans updated on funeral arrangements throughout the festive period, confirmed that her mother was laid to rest on Sunday, 28 December.

Mbane shared cherished family photographs and expressed her deep gratitude to those who supported the family during the mourning period.

The actress penned an emotional note to her mother, acknowledging the profound grief of the loss.

“Dear Mama 🖤. My brand new angel 😇. I may have crossed over into 2026 without you, but I did cross over with you in my heart, where you will forever remain. Ndiyawungena ke ngoku lo unyaka, ngalamandla ndinawo. Asambe ke 🤍📿🕊️
