He has been making all sorts of headlines of late after it was confirmed that he would be joining the star-studded cast of House Of Zwide. Celebrated actor Warren Masemola has officially joined the e.tvs drama series House Of Zwide as Alex Khadzi.

Entertainment blogger Phil Mphela confirmed the news of his latest role. He will be cast as Alex, a young designer set on taking Vusi Kunene’s character of Funani.

However, his new role has left many wondering if Funani was yet bowing out of the drama series. After all, Mzansi awaits the drama to unfold, capped with drama and thrills. The bubbly actor is yet to confirm the news of his latest role. Taking it to Twitter, Phil tweeted:

Phil wrote: “Warren Masemola joins House Of Zwide Masemola plays Alex Khadzi in the etv telenovela. Khadzi is a young designer set on taking on Vusi Kunene’s character Funani and destroy his company.”

With an illustrious career spanning over years, Warren Masemola has managed to wow Mzansi with his unmatched acting flair. His bubbly on-screen characters in recent years have made him that star actor we all love to hate. However, not so long ago, he made all sorts of headlines when he was cast in Shaka Zulu.

Just like those before him, he started his career with theatre plays for decades. In the wake of his newfound fame, he had his shot at stardom in 2008. The award-winning actor hogged headlines when he did justice to his on-screen character of Lentswe Mokethi in the etvs drama series Scandal. He also starred in Ses’Top La, a SABC 1 sitcom.

Against his lead role, he went to bag a lead role in the star-studded cast of SABC 1’s drama series Intersexions. Since then, he has been winning big from starring in 90 Plein Street to The River. With an illustrious career spanning years, he has won accolades like the precious Golden Horn Award.

Undoubtedly, he has fast become one of Mzansi’s finest and has a cabinet of prizes to show for it. Despite being that star actor, we all love to hate; he likes to keep his private life under wraps. Despite trying hard to lay low, his on-screen character always gets the better of him.
