Ntsiki Mazwai shocks Mzansi with claims about menstrual blood and farming

Podcaster and poet Ntsiki Mazwai has once again left Mzansi talking after making unexpected claims about the traditional use of women’s menstrual blood.

During a recent appearance on DJ Sbu’s The Hustler’s Corner podcast, the outspoken artist shared her views on spirituality, gender roles, and the connection between women and the land.

In a viral clip from the interview, Ntsiki suggested that menstrual blood has the power to nourish the earth and promote growth.

“In ancient Africa, it was women who worked the land because when we are on our period and that blood hits the earth, it nourishes it and helps plants grow bigger,” she said.

She went on to encourage women to test the belief themselves, suggesting they mix menstrual blood with water and use it to grow their vegetable gardens.

Her statement, which also touched on the symbolism behind the term “Mother Nature” drew a mix of shock, amusement, and curiosity online.

While some applauded Ntsiki for speaking on African spirituality, others dismissed her claims as far-fetched.
