The countdown to becoming a family of four has now officially begun for the Pollards.

This weekend, the Springbok fly-half and his wife, Marise, enjoyed a well-deserved break away from the action as they await the birth of their newborn daughter.

Taking to Instagram, Marise shared a gallery of pictures showcasing some of the couple’s most precious moments shared with baby Hunter.

“Our last weekend as a family of 3,” she captioned.

After returning to South Africa, where he recently made his second debut for his boyhood club, the Bulls, Handre was given paternity leave so he could support his wife, who is due to give birth this month.

The gallery of pictures attached to the post shows that they did exactly that – from spending time at their home in Paarl, to exploring the outdoors  and lastly enjoying a well-deserved date before the arrival of the new addition.

While the Springbok star toured with the national team last month, Marise and some of her closest friends hosted her baby shower.

“The best day celebrating our baby girl in the most beautiful place.
Wrapped in love, held in prayer, and surrounded by those who mean the most. Thank you for filling our hearts and her future with so much light. I am grateful and love everyone of you.”
