Professor makes powerful comeback with new single ‘Order’

South African music veteran Professor has officially returned to the spotlight after taking a break from the industry, and fans couldn’t be more thrilled.

The Lento hitmaker, who helped shape the sound of Kwaito, is back with a fresh single titled Order, marking a new chapter in his musical journey.

Speaking about his return, Professor revealed that he felt the time was finally right to step back into the scene.

“I felt like I had been missing in the music scene for quite a long time, so I had to revisit my biggest album, University of Kalawa Jazmee. I feel like I’m 18 again. It’s exciting. The song is going to change the attitude of many young people,” he said.

The star, signed under Oskido’s Kalawa Jazmee Records, explained that his latest offering isn’t an attempt to ride the Amapiano wave.

Instead, he teamed up with producer Larny to create a refreshing sound that fuses elements of Kwaito, Gqom, and the trending 3-step rhythm.

In a recent interview, Professor also reflected on his two-year spiritual and sobriety journey, describing it as life-changing.

“I feel like I am on the right path. Jesus is my king and saviour. I understand there’s a time for everything, and God prepared me for this time. All I do I leave in God’s hands. This was the most perfect decision I ever made,” he shared.

Following hits like Jezebel and Imoto, Order is already gaining traction on streaming platforms and has been praised for its nostalgic yet modern feel.
