Kabza De Small becomes first SA artist with 140 million-stream songs on Spotify

Amapiano giant Kabza De Small has set yet another record, cementing his place as South Africa’s most streamed producer.

The hitmaker has become the first artist in the country to have 140 songs each surpass the one million streams mark on Spotify.

The news was confirmed by PianoConnectSA on 1 October 2025, sparking celebrations from fans who hailed him as “the greatest producer in South Africa.”

Kabza’s dominance on streaming platforms comes on the heels of his latest album Bab’Motha, which has already produced fan favorites such as Siyabonga, currently sitting at 2.5 million streams.

His collaboration with Mthunzi, Imithandazo, leads the pack with an impressive 43 million streams.

Over the years, Kabza has turned Amapiano into a global phenomenon, consistently breaking barriers and collecting awards, while maintaining an unmatched work rate.

His latest milestone highlights not only his artistry but also the loyalty of his worldwide fanbase, who continue to stream his music in massive numbers.

Fans flooded social media with praise, with many declaring that “another day, another record broken” has become the Kabza De Small standard.
