Tom Holland tightens security after fans flood his home

Tom Holland and Zendaya have reportedly hired private security after fans began arriving uninvited at their home in West London.

The couple, who got engaged earlier this year, wanted to enjoy a quiet life. However, growing fan attention forced them to act.

TOM HOLLAND BEEFS SECURITY

Fans started turning up at their gates for selfies and autographs. A neighbour told The Sun: “As soon as Tom and Zendaya started filming the new Spider-Man, fans just kept turning up.

Now they’ve got this burly security bloke outside. He’s friendly enough, but you wouldn’t want to mess with him,” a source said.

Their attempts to shield their private life highlight the growing tension between celebrity culture and the desire for normalcy.

TOM HOLLAND’S MILD CONCUSSION

The Spider-Man star is also spending more time at home after suffering a mild concussion during filming at Leavesden Studios in Watford last week.

Paramedics rushed Tom Holland to the hospital, and production on the blockbuster shut down. The 29‑year‑old is recovering, with filming now delayed for two weeks.

A source close to the production explained: “The accident wasn’t as bad as people feared. A line snapped on a pull ring, and he got a bump on the head. Tom Holland is taking it easy as no one wants him to rush back.”

SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY

The film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, carries a budget of about R3.7 billion. Each day of shutdown is costing the studio an estimated R34.5 million.

With such a large crew, sets to maintain, and equipment on hire, costs keep running even when the cameras are not rolling.

MARVEL MOVIES

Director Emeka Egbuonu told the Daily Mail: “On a production this size, daily costs remain huge. It’s a significant financial hit for the studio.”

For South African fans, who form a big part of Marvel’s global audience, the delays may push back press tours and appearances.
