Earth tremor hits some parts of Gauteng

Another earthquake hit several parts of Gauteng last night. According to reports on social media, residents in Soweto and Roodepoort felt the tremor. EMSC, an Independent Scientific Organization and provider of real-time earthquake info, said an earthquake measuring 3.0 magnitude has rattled the region near Johannesburg. Gauteng has been rocked with earthquakes and tremors since the start of the year. An earthquake measuring 3.2 magnitude in August has rattled the region near Johannesburg. Another 2.9 magnitude earthquake rocked Gauteng in the early hours on Thursday, 29 June. North West felt the tremors of a magnitude 3.3 seismic event after a 5.0 earthquake rocked Gauteng on Sunday, 11 June.
