Rakhale Sizzles With Four-Goal Show

Former Orlando Pirates winger Thabo Rakhale scored four goals in a pre-season game ahead of the 2023/24 Botswana Premier League opener.

Rakhale who is yet to make his official debut at Township Rollers was recently signed a few months ago by the Botswana giants joining some familiar names in the country.

Mogakolodi Ngele, Tshepo “Skhwama” Matete who are his teammates, and VTM Football Club midfielder Sifiso Myeni and Rooi Mahamutsa.

The former Chippa United attacker has had a tough time as he last played professional football in 2021 in the colours of Sekhukhune United. He finished the year 2022 without a club but he was playing in eKasi Football.

The 33-year-old has already given ‘Popa’ supporters something to look forward to this season. He scored the winning goal in a pre-season friendly against Kaizer Chiefs in July.

With the Botswana Premier League season set to start this coming weekend. Rollers played a preseason tournament where they beat Red Stars 5-0 with Rakhale netting four goals.
