South African DJ Ntombezinhle Jiyane, better known as DJ Zinhle, shares a dream she had about her “baby daddy”, the late rapper AKA, in the trailer for the third season of her reality show, as revealed in an Instagram post on Wednesday, September 20.
DJ ZINHLE ON SEASON THREE OF REALITY SHOW
The late rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, widely recognized as AKA, is the father of DJ Zinhle’s first child, Kairo Forbes. AKA was tragically killed outside Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on February 10.
In the trailer for DJ Zinhle: The Unexpected season three, the mother of two discusses a dream she had about AKA. AKA’s mother Lynn Forbes also appears in the third season.
“There’s never a moment when we forget he’s no longer with us,” she said about AKA.
“I dreamt of him yesterday,” she told her friend Thabz, who replied “maybe he’s letting you know he’s alright.”

So what can viewers anticipate from DJ Zinhle and her family this season? According to a press release, there’s a new venture for the DJ and her daughter Kairo is taking center stage as well as dealing with the loss of Kairo’s father – the late rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, widely recognized as AKA.
DJ Zinhle confronts the untimely loss of AKA, offering an intimate glimpse into her healing process. AKA’s mother Lynn Forbes also features in this season. In the trailer, she is seen discussing visiting the rapper’s grave. DJ Zinhle’s recent acquisition of a fun house will be highlighted. Viewers will get an inside look into her world of creativity and entrepreneurship.
As she collaborates closely with her family and friends, DJ Zinhle will share behind-the-scenes stories of their joint efforts and the joys of working together. One of the main focuses of season three is DJ Zinhle’s daughter, Kairo, as she steps into her role as a big sister to Asante. Asante is DJ Zinhle’s second child, who she welcomed with musician and “husband” Murdah Bongz in 2021.
