PSG Give Mbappe Update – iDiski Times

Paris Saint-Germain have reinstated Kylian Mbappe into their squad after he was frozen out over the last few due to a contract standoff between both parties.

Mbappe, 24, was at loggerheads with PSG after he refuses to activate an option in his contract to automatically extend his deal until the end of the 2024/25 season.

With PSG not keen on losing their superstar for free by the end of the campaign, they then transfer-listed the France captain and also scratched him from their pre-season tour in Japan.

However, Mbappe was prepared ready to play hardball and also refused a reported world-record offer from Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal officials, who were believed to be ready to offer him a massive €700 million (R13.75 billion) for just one season in Saudi Arabia.

The 24-year-old was said to be keen on leaving PSG on a free transfer to join Real Madrid after the LaLiga giants missed out on his signature last season.

However, following new productive talks, Mbappe could now even extend his contract with the French giants.

“Following very constructive and positive discussions between Paris St-Germain and Kylian Mbappe before the PSG – Lorient game, the player has been reinstated into the first team training squad this morning,” PSG said on Sunday.

Mbappe was in the stands on Saturday, was PSG drew 0-0 with Lorient.

According to BBC, north parties could come to an agreement that would see Mbappe sign a new one-year contract, so that the club would avoid to lose him for free.
