Expect internet disruptions in SA as two undersea cables snapped
You can expect internet disruptions as two undersea communication cables snapped.
According to a report by MyBroadBand these two cables are critical for network operators in South Africa. It snapped on the same day on 6 August 2023.

Some websites might load slowly, and others not at all. Repairs on the cables are expected to be completed next month.

City of Tshwane contractors die after trench collapses on them
Three City of Tshwane contractors lost their lives when a trench they were working in collapsed on them.
The incident occurred in Myburgh Street, Capital Park at approximately 15:55 on Friday, 11 August 2023.
City of Tshwane Emergency Services Department spokesperson Charles Mabaso said one contract worker was transported to a nearby hospital with moderate to serious injuries, while two escaped with no injuries from a trench estimated to be six metres deep and four metres wide.

DANGEROUS inmate ESCAPED from Rustenburg PRISON
The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) said a DANGEROUS inmate has ESCAPED from the Rustenburg Correctional Centre.
A manhunt has been launched for the dangerous inmate.

“The escaped inmate, Pule Vitals Mahanetsa, is a 22-year-old Lesotho National serving three months for immigration.”

WATCH: Leopard attacked and beaten up by troop of baboons
A pouncing leopard is attacked and beaten up by a troop of baboons in the Kruger National Park.
According to Latest Sightings, the attack was captured by Ricky da Fonseca. Ricky recently captured the entire sighting between Skukuza and Tshokwane.
“We pulled to the side, surprised to see a male leopard leisurely strolling on the side of the road. As I repositioned for a better angle, that’s when I noticed a troop of baboons playing in the road ahead. This was getting exciting!”

WARNING: Avoid these spiking hotspots in Gauteng
The highway spikes gang is back in full force on Gauteng highways.
Numerous incidents have been reported of motorists complaining about spikes or other objects being placed on public roads by criminals to force motorists to stop to attend to their vehicles.
The motorists are then attacked and robbed.
