Riveiro Comments On Lepasa Show

Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has praised Zakhele Lepasa after he scored his first hat-trick against Sekhukhune United on Saturday.

Lepasa netted thrice and even missed a penalty, while also hitting the woodwork twice in Pirates’ 5-0 thrashing of Babina Noko.

Riveiro is usually sparely with praise for individual players but stated he was happy for the club’s new number 9.

“I’m happy for the guy. He’s a guy whose always working hard, so it’s good that football is also paying back to him,” he told SuperSport TV.

“Because he’s always in the right places like today and today he managed to put the ball in net more times than frequent.

“So I’m so happy for him, because it’s going to be good for the team, it’s good for Zakhele.”

Riveiro, though, did insisted that it was a near-complete team performance, but he’s still keen on more consistency from his players.

“I think today is a day to speak about the team, from the first to the last one coming to the field,” he stated.

“It was a very good one. There is room to improve always, we want to be more consistent like we did today, but today is a collective [effort] it’s not only one player.”
