Miss SA finalist Bridgette Jones has thanked South Africans for their outpouring of support after she was accused of being a “bully” by a former colleague.

On her Instagram Story, Bridgette Jones thanked her followers for continuing to support her, despite the allegations made against her.

The Cape Town flight attendant was accused of being a “workplace bully” by a former colleague whose TikTok videos have gone viral.

She posted, “Balancing work, family, and life, and this new path in my journey has been challenging, but they have shown me the strength that comes from the community, faith, and truth.

She added: “Forever grateful, forever humbled, forever strengthened”.

Earlier this week, Bridgette labelled claims she was a “bully” as “completely untrue”.

She claimed that the accusations stemmed from a legal matter involving former colleagues, to which he had “no involvement.” Bridgette said that her former employer defended her against the allegations.

She added, “This situation has been deeply distressing, as it unfairly affects my name and reputation. I remain committed to representing myself with integrity and respect, both personally and professionally.”

WHAT HAPPENED?

In a four-part TikTok video series, Cape Town woman Kayla Jenecker accused Bridgette Jones and other former female colleagues of “bullying” her at her workplace.

Kayla – who works in the pageant industry – accused the Miss SA Top 10 finalist of verbally harassing her, leading her to report the incident to management.

She stated that she posted a video documenting her experience on Instagram. However, the company CEO allegedly forced her to remove it. She also states that Bridgette made “false statements” about her in a disciplinary hearing, which is currently pending.

She said: “You can’t walk on a platform such as Miss SA organisation and think that its ok that you bullied someone.

“What she did affected me badly; it affected my mental health. When I saw her in the Top 10, I had to make a video. I had to speak out; I couldn’t be silent.

She added, “It’s not right what Bridgette Jones and her friends did. They made my life a living hell.

“I’m not doing this for fame or clout. What I went through was traumatic, and. I don’t want someone like this to represent our country”.
