Orlando Pirates back in for 26 goal striker after missing out on Ranga Chivaviro!

Having missed out on Ranga Chivaviro to Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates are now reportedly back in for a prolific East African striker!

Pirates had already agreed a fee for Chivaviro, before the player followed his heart and edged for a move to his boyhood club Chiefs.

Those options, however, do not seem to inspire coach Jose Riveiro with much confidence, with none of them having a reputation for being out and out prolific goal scorers. It is then understand to see Soccer-Laduma report that Pirates could be back in the race for Kenyan striker Benson Omala. 

Pirates to add Omala?

“They (Pirates) feel that they need a striker. A striker that will help them when they go into Africa, They have gone back to enquire about Kenyan striker Benson Omala whom they had wanted before. This time it’s serious and things could happen before the registration window closes. They are serious about him,” said a source to the same publication.

Pirates return from Spain unbeaten in their three games, winning two and drawing the last one, and it seems they will now be pressing for a striker. Will Omala be the one?
