Two qualified African coaches in charge

Kaizer Chiefs fans will be seeing two very familiar faces on the touchline again as Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze step up to lead the team.

The duo were already in charge earlier this season when Nasreddine Nabi was away on compassionate leave, guiding Amakhosi to three straight victories.

Now, with Nabi officially out of the picture, they return to the bench at a crucial time.

Kaizer Chiefs are preparing for their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Angolan side Kabuscorp, and the responsibility falls squarely on the pair’s shoulders.

Both Youssef and Kaze bring serious pedigree. They each hold CAF A coaching licences, making them among the most qualified African coaches on the continent.

That experience showed during their earlier stint, where they kept the team calm and competitive in Nabi’s absence.

NASREDDINE NABI GONE

Meanwhile, speculation around Nabi’s sudden exit persist. Multiple reports suggest the coach was suspended after questions were raised about the validity of his coaching qualifications.

Kaizer Chiefs have not released an official statement on that particular matter, but instead merely confirmed the coach will be absent this weekend.

The Glamour Boys are already in Luanda before the trip to the 11 de Novembro Stadium on Saturdy, kick off will be at 17:00. The return leg at the FNB Stadium on 27 September.
