Former AmaZulu FC midfielder Keegan Buchanan is “in talks” with newly promoted DStv Premiership side Cape Town Spurs.

The experienced midfielder has recently been released by Usuthu after two seasons with the club, during which he made 57 appearances and scored one goal.

‘The Fixer’, as he is famously known, has been training with Spurs in the hope of securing himself a move.

This publication understands, the 31-year-old has impressed head coach Shaun Bartlett, who is keen adding him to his squad for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

A close source has told iDiski Times that Buchanan is currently in talks with the club but nothing has been signed as yet.

The experience of the former Maritzburg United and Kaizer Chiefs midfielder would come in handy as Spurs have a lot of youngsters in their team.

The Urban Warriors have already retained the service of Boitumelo Radiopane and Luvuyo Phewa on loan from Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, respectively.

They’ve also signed talented left-back Siyanda Msani on loan for a season, as they are trying to build a squad that can retain them in the DStv Premiership after their return from the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
