Minnesota United forward Bongokuhle Hlongwane has been named in the Major League Soccer Team of the Week after another inspiring display.
The former Maritzburg United striker scored his seventh goal of the season when United thrashed Portland Timbers by 4-1 at home.
Hlongwane scored the third goal of the game in the 74th minute to make it 3-1, three minutes later he laid an assist for the Argentinian international Emanuel Reynoso to seal the victory.
The Bafana Bafana international has been named in the MLS Team Of The Week for the second time this season.
The three points helped Minnesota as they move to 11th place in the Western Conference, 11 points behind Bradley Carnell’s league leaders St Louis City SC.
