Lamontville Golden Arrows have bid farewell to Pule Mmodi, who is understood to have signed for Kaizer Chiefs.
More, 30, joined Arrows from Uthongathi in 2020 and made 92 appearances for the club since, scoring 16 goals and setting up five more.
He has been chased by Chiefs for the last year or so, and is believed to have penned a three-year deal at Naturena, where he’s already started pre-season with the club.
With his contract coming to an end on 30 June, Arrows have now bid farewell to their player, without revealing his next destination.
“We bid Pule Mmodi farewell and thank him for his services to the Club,” Arrows said in a statement.
“Joining us in the 2020/21 season,he was instrumental in 92 League and Cup games up to the end of last season. He scored 16 goals and assisted in many more.
“We wish him good luck in his future endeavours.”
Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu were also understood to be interested in his services, but it seems Chiefs have won the race for his services – even though the club are yet to officially announce his arrival.
This past season he six goals and assisted in three in 31 appearances, netting in four successive games between August and September 2022 – which at the time earned him his Bafana debut against Sierra Leone.
