The EThekwini Municipality: Supply Chain Internships 2022 is providing an opportunity for the young people of the Ethekwini region to develop skills so they can get employed for primary jobs allowing them to improve in terms of their careers.

The major areas of responsibility are:

• Supply chain operations department.
• General management.
• Policy and support department.
• Performance and risk management.
• Administration and business systems.

The candidates belonging to underrepresented groups or with disabilities will be given preference and are highly encouraged to apply for the internship programme.

Who should apply?

The internship is primarily for the unemployed youth of South Africa and there are just the basic requirements needed for a candidate to be eligible. The minimum eligibility requirement of the Ethekwini Municipality: Supply Chain Internship is:

• South African citizenship
• Tertiary qualification in supply chain management (NQF 6 or 7).
• A valid driving license.

There is a certain set of skills needed from the candidate which is as follows:

• Excellent communication skills in the English Language.
• Easy to work with a group.
• Competent to work independently.
• Precision in work.
• Good level of energy.
• Success-driven.

The selected candidates can be deployed to any area within the municipality.
