Boitumelo Radiopane’s agent Mike Makaab has confirmed that it is currently not clear whether the striker will return to Cape Towns Spurs or remain at Orlando Pirates.

Radiopane joined Spurs at the beginning of 2022/23 season on loan from Pirates after he had a wonderful spell in the club’s DStv Diski Challenge team, scoring 24 goals in 2021/22.

The 20-year-old, though, couldn’t start the campaign with the Urban Warriors after he got injured on national team duty.

He started the season later than expected but he hit the ground running and helped Spurs to finish second and qualify for PSL Promotional Play-offs. The U23 international scored seven goals for Spurs before he got injured in the first game of Play-offs against Casric Stars at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.

His agent told this publication that Radiopane’s future is not clear at the moment, as they are focussing on helping him to get back onto the field of play.

“At this point it is not clear because the fact is that he is not gonna be able to play now for a while,” Makaab told iDiski Times when asked whether Radioman will return to Spurs on loan.

“It’s the best that he is gonna so his rehabilitation in a environment where he is close to home.”

The 2021/22 DDC top goalscorer will be sidelined for at least two to three months, which means he will miss the pre-season and likely the start of the 2023/24 campaign.
