Manie Libbok sends another message to ‘haters’

After months of being trolled, Springbok Manie Libbok sent a powerful yet defiant message to his critics.

The flyhalf has faced constant scrutiny from rugby fans who have doubted his skills on the pitch.

Libbok was part of the squad that beat New Zealand’s All Blacks in a record-breaking 43-10 in Wellington over the weekend.

MANIE LIBBOK SPEAKS OUT AFTER SPRINGBOK VICTORY

Manie Libbok posted his first Instagram post since the Springboks’ historical defeat of the All Blacks.

“God did,” the flyhalf captioned pictures of himself holding the Freedom Cup trophy and alongside his Bok pals.

In the comments section, rugby fans praised the player’s resilience, despite the public scrutiny.

@bokontour: “Proved the haters wrong again.World-class player”

@marcelpaulse: “We see you, Manie. You’ve taken all the criticism in your stride, handled it with grace, and just carried on working hard. We salute you”.

@oosasam: “I cannot imagine the emotional turmoil and bravery you have to display while dealing with so much negativity. You do not deserve it.”

In recent months, Manie Libbok has been trolled over several errors on the pitch, the most recent of which was the Springboks’ loss to Australia at Ellis Park.

JAPAN’S NEXT BIG THING

Meanwhile, Manie Libbok is also set for a new chapter in Japan, reportedly with the Hanazono Liners.

In June, Stormers boss John Dobson revealed Manie had cut short his contract to play abroad.

Holding no grudges, he said in a press conference: “We’ve had a fantastic journey with him. He’s a massive loss. Manie got an eye-watering offer from Japan, and it’s a life-changing amount of money. It’ll change his whole family’s life.

He added: “Manie goes with blessing… and an open invitation to come back.”
