Suspended Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane says I’m taking the ‘FALL’ for Ramaphosa!

Suspended Public Protector Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane has pointed fingers at the executive, judiciary, and legislature for the tragic demise of ANC MP Tina Joemat-Pettersson.

During a press conference held at The Capital Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg, on Tuesday, June 13, Mkhwebane made a startling claim that Joemat-Pettersson could have still been alive if the three branches of government had fulfilled their responsibilities.

Mkhwebane presented WhatsApp messages and audio recordings of conversations between Joemat-Pettersson and her husband, Mandla Skosana, as evidence of the deceased ANC member soliciting a bribe. According to Mkhwebane, two meetings between Skosana and Joemat-Pettersson had taken place at Ocean Basket restaurant in March.

To trap the alleged culprits, Mkhwebane’s husband cooperated during the meetings. “When these recordings of the meetings are considered together with the WhatsApp messages exchanged between the two persons, then the issue is put beyond doubt,” Mkhwebane stated.

The allegations claim that Joemat-Pettersson, along with ANC MP Qubudile Dyantyi and ANC Chief Whip Pemmy Majodina, demanded a sum of R600,000 to halt Mkhwebane’s impeachment process.

During the press conference, Mkhwebane read out a message in which Joemat-Pettersson purportedly said, “The courts are with Cyril Ramaphosa.”

Mkhwebane expressed her belief that she is being targeted due to her investigation into President Cyril Ramaphosa regarding a robbery scandal at his Phala Phala farm.

In an effort to ensure transparency and due to her lack of faith in the impartiality of the South African media, Mkhwebane shared the messages with the public, despite acknowledging that they would typically be handed over to the police.

Mkhwebane added, “This is also because it is highly unlikely that the biased South African media can report objectively in a matter which has the potential to hurt the agenda of the DA and/or the President.”
