SuperSport United have given an update on the future of Orlando Pirates loanees Siphesihle Ndlovu and Zakhele Lepasa at the club.

The loan spells of the duo will be coming to an end at the end of June. Ndlovu and Lepasa seemed to be enjoying the time away from their parent club as they became regulars under Gavin Hunt.

The former Maritzburg United midfielder joined the Tshwane side at the beginning of the season on a season-long loan. Meanwhile, Lepasa followed his teammate in January, signing a loan deal for the remainder of the season.

Matsatsantsa’s CEO Stan Matthews says the future of the duo will be decided next week when the two clubs meet.

Matthews stated they will be looking to learn if they can retain the players both on a permanent or loan deal.

“We haven’t had that discussion yet because Pirates had a cup final last week. And then there was an Awards evening last week,” Matthews told FARPost.

“We haven’t had a chance to sit with the chairman [Irvin Khoza] but next week I’m supposed to meet him. Hopefully, by next week Thursday, I’ll know.

“It’s the same situation with Zakhele Lepasa, Grant Margeman from Sundowns. We’ll have those talks next week and see if those players are available either permanently or on loan.”

Ndlovu was one of the key players for Hunt’s side in the midfield along with Grant Margeman who won the club’s Player’s Player of the Year award.

He seems to have regained confidence as he’s been playing his original role, central midfielder, a position he wasn’t primarily used in at Pirates.

Ndlovu played 22 games in all competitions and hit the back of the net only on one occasion. Meanwhile, Lepasa who was struggling to get minutes under Jose Riveiro in the first round, played 10 games across all competitions and scored two goals.
