Wydad Atheltic Club head coach Sven Vandenbroeck admits revenge is probably on the minds of Al Ahly ahead of their CAF Champions League final showdown.
Ahly will be aiming for their third Champions League crown in four seasons, having won two under Pitso Mosimane and losing the third final in Casablanca last campaign.
In marked a controversial decision by CAF to award Morocco back-to-back finals in an affair meant to be fielded on a neutral ground.
“Ahly will be seeking revenge for last time. So, the most important thing for me is to remain calm and unified as a group,” he said ahead of the first leg in Cairo this evening.
“I think individual solutions will play a key role in the game over the two legs.”
When asked about the pressure he walked into last month, with the club challenging for four trophies this season, the Belgian remained calm in his response.
“I don’t feel a huge pressure. It is logical to play for all titles when you take charge of a team that has a long history of winning trophies.”
The first leg final will take place at the Cairo International Stadium this evening at 20h00.
