Following their relegation, Tshakuma Tsha Mandzivhandila say they be participating in Limpopo ABC Motsepe League not Free State.
TTM started the 2022/23 season in Motsepe Foundation Championship like a house on fire, and after winning four out of their first six games, were sitting top of the table.
Off-the-field issues reportedly kicked in and affected the results on the field of play.
The club, who took over Royal AM’s NFD status, relocated to Bloemfontein and they were wearing Siwelele colours for their last few games.
Unfortunately, they couldn’t save their status which led to them getting relegated.
Azwindini Phasha explained that the club will play in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League not Free State.
“Currently the club has been relegated and obviously we are in Limpopo at the moment, as things stand, so I can say that we will be participating in the ABC Motsepe League in Limpopo currently, in the current situation,” Phasha told iDiski Times.
It is a confusing scenario as while TTM are Limpopo-based and for a time relocated to Bloemfontein, the franchise they bought was from Royal AM. This in turn used to be Real Kings, who were promoted from the regional KwaZulu-Natal leagues.
It seems SAFA will end up having to decide whether TTM can play in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League.
