This fatal incident has left people torn apart, with some assuming the teenager acted in self-defence:
Clayton Louw said, “Sounds like self-defence to me but what do I know MHSRIP though”.

Mphoza Obada said, “Someone under the age of 18 in South African law is regarded as a teenager.
And a teenager is someone who doesn’t know right and wrong. The young man will be acquitted by the court”.

Rich Waha Phalali said, “This teenager is not wrong, that’s self-defence against the old man”.

Emily Meyer said, “That child was not supposed to be in the tavern, especially with a weapon. He must be arrested and that must set an example to others out there, and you silly people saying that he was right, what are you teaching your kids?”
