Mokwena will have to think on his feet after having two key players suspended.
So, Neo Maema and Marcelo Allende will both miss the crucial second leg of their CAF Champions League semi final against Wydad Casablanca.

SUNDOWNS DUO SUSPENDED
Maema and Allende were both shown red cards during their 0-0 draw in the first leg of their CAFCL against Wydad Casablanca.
Therefore, both players will be unavailable for selection for the second leg.

Maema was given his marching orders towards the end of the first half.
He was shown red in the 43rd minute for what was deemed a reckless challenge.

Furthermore, Allende became the second Sundowns player to be sent off. This, after another VAR review for a similiar incident.
Now, Mokwena will have to think on his feet with two enforced changes for the big tie this weekend.

The second leg is on Saturday, 21 May 2023 at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.
Kick-off is at 15:00.

Any margin of victory will see Mokwena and The Brazilians book their spot in the CAF Champions League final against Al Ahly. Meaning, a potential reunion for Percy Tau against his former side.
