Four Downs Stars & Tau In CAFCL Team Of The Week

Four Mamelodi Sundowns players have made the CAF Champions League Team of the Week, as has Percy Tau after his brace against Esperance.

Sundowns held Wydad Athletic Club to a goalless draw at Stade Mohamed V on Saturday despite playing for over 45 minutes with 10 men and the last few even with nine.

Despite playing with 10 against 11 for large parts, Sundowns never really looked troubled by Wydad and the hostile home crowd and continued to control the match.

As a consequence for their fine performance, four Masandawana players named in the CAFCL Team of the week.

Defensive duo, Khuliso Mudau and Abdelmounaim Boutouil were selected, alongside midfielder Sipho Mbule and striker Peter Shalulile.

Opponents Wydad only captain Yahya Jabrane and Reda Jaadi in the selection.

Meanwhile, Al Ahly had five players in the team after their rousing 3-0 win at Esperance on Friday, with Mohamed El Shenawy, Ali Maaloul, Yasser Ibrahim and Kahraba the others.
