Sundowns Overtake UWC On Top

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies are back on top of the Hollywoodbets Super League table following a comprehensive 3-0 victory over University of Western Cape (UWC), in a top-of-the-table clash in Tshwane on Sunday.

Chuene Morifi and Andisiwe Mgcoyi were once again on the score sheet, as was Refilwe Tholakele on her debut.

The Botswana international’s signing was announced on match day and she grabbed the last goal, as Sundowns amassed 34 points at the summit from 13 matches. UWC dropped to second position with 31 points from the same number of matches.

Meanwhile, TS Galaxy Queens recorded their seventh win in a row under coach Sizwe Sibiya, as they thrashed Ma-Indies Ladies 4-0 in Giyani to retain third position with 30 points. Goals from Phindile Rakgalakane, Nicole Michael and Mamello Makhabane’s brace were enough to condemn the Limpopo side to the bottom of the table with six points from 13 matches.
