Jali Sends Cryptic Message Amid Uncertain Future

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Andile Jali has sent a cryptic message amid continued uncertainty about his future, with his current Masandawana deal coming to an end in less than two months.

Jali’s agent stated recently that it’s “unlikely” the 33-year-old will stay at Chloorkop beyond his current deal, while confirming that “a number of clubs” have contacted the player’s representatives over a potential free transfer.

The six-time Premier Soccer League winner has been out of the Sundowns’ squad since the beginning of February when reports appeared that he had allegedly arrived under the influence of alcohol to training.

Head coach Rulani Mokwena defended Jali and teammate Sipho Mbule, who also found himself in hot water, saying all humans make errors.

But while Mbule returned to the squad, Jali has remained on the sidelines and it looks like he will not make another appearance for the club.

Amid speculation around his future, and talks that he could join AmaZulu or Kaizer Chiefs, Jali posted a cryptic message on social media, hinting at potential next step in his journey.

“Good morning. The journey is never ending,” he wrote on social media.

“There’s always gonna be growth, improvement, and adversity, you just gotta take it all in and do what’s right, continue to grow, continue to live in the moment.”

With his contract expiring by the end of June, Jali is free to sign a pre-contract with a club of his choice, and it appears he’s closer to confirming the next chapter in his career.
