Well done baby: Overwhelmed Nadia Nakai congratulates AKA on his Metro Awards victory

Nadia Nakai, the girlfriend of the late rapper AKA, expressed her pride in his posthumous Metro FM awards. AKA was the big winner at the music award ceremony held over the weekend at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga. During the awards, Nadia performed at her own gig in Sandton, Johannesburg. AKA was shot and killed by unknown gunmen in Durban in February at the age of 35, leaving behind his daughter Kairo Forbes and girlfriend Nadia. The day after his Metro FM Awards win, Nadia shared a touching tribute to her late boyfriend on social media, captioning an image of his four awards with the words ‘Well done, baby.’

Nadia Nakai and a group of close friends and family of the late rapper AKA celebrated his Metro FM Awards win with a lunch at his home in Bryanston. During the gathering, an emotional Nadia expressed her gratitude to the group for their support following AKA’s death.
