Frosler had extended his deal at Chiefs last season, a deal that is expected to keep the defender at Naturena until at least 2025. That contract extension had Amakhosi faithful breathing a huge sigh of relief, as there were widespread rumours that he would be leaving the club for free, with reports citing interest from clubs in the MLS as well as Europe.

In the end, Frosler decided to commit his long-term future to Chiefs, and he played a crucial role as their starting right back, as well as left back for chunks of the season after Sifiso Hlanti suffered a long-term achilles injury. This time around, it was the Gqeberha-born star who has unfortunately found himself on the receiving end of injuries, which have reduced his involvement. Arthur Zwane has often had to rely on Dillon Solomons as well as Siyabonga Ngezana and Zitha Kwinika in that right back position at times, which had many worrying if there is still a long-term future for the Bafana Bafana international at the club.

Now according to Soccer-Laduma, Frosler is still a very highly rated figure at Chiefs, and one that the current management want to keep for the long-term.

Chiefs ready to offer Frosler new deal?

“For now, it’s not a done deal yet. It’s a proposal which all parties (Chiefs and Frosler) have to sit down and talk about. But according to the team management, they want to give him another three-years which means he will be at the team until 2027, as his current contract ends in June 2025. They believe in him as the ideal right back, it has just been unfortunate that he has been out most of the time due to injury, but they know his worth and value to the team and that’s why they want to keep him for a longer time”
