MTN8 FINAL: STELLENBOSCH FC VS ORLANDO PIRATES
The timing might be off, but Orlando Pirates will return to the spotlight after an unbeaten streak in five games across the Betway Premiership and MTN8:
- 1-1 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns
- 1-0 win over Stellenbosch FC
- 1-1 (4-1 on penalties) over Sundowns
- 1-0 win over Orbit College FC
- 3-0 win over Chippa United.
This month’s MTN8 final promises fireworks after the very same teams met in last year’s final. Stellenbosch FC, meanwhile, have only one major title under their belt, the 2023 Carling Knockout.
For the Sea Robbers’ faithful, the wait will feel like forever. But patience is a small price to pay for a shot at silverware and, if Orlando Pirates bring their A-game, another cup could soon be heading back to Soweto.
